“Gotta Give” is a tribute to entertainer Marilyn Monroe, the young mid-century Hollywood star turned tragic American ingenue, who, while becoming a pop-culture icon in her own right, immortalized by the likes of Andy Warhol and Elton John, achieved only a sexually-objectified power, which, ultimately and sadly, eventually destroyed her.
