This Land is a tribute to what Jan calls “the good America – the open, engaged, good-natured, honest, honorable and affable land-of-opportunity, open to all, whose people are engaged in respectful, socially-conscious life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and prosperity, and expressly not the nationalistic, protectionist, xenophobic, closed-off America that has been advanced from time to time in our history.”
