Endless Summer Too

Works in Jan’s Heroes series celebrate virtues of icons from popular culture.

Endless Summer Too is a print edition of a series of female figures as presented in popular culture relative to their positions of power, beginning with Marilyn Monroe.

This is the second piece in that series; presenting a famous emerging-from-the-ocean scene from the 1962 James Bond spy-thriller Dr. No, where Swedish ‘bombshell’ actress Ursula Andress emerges onto a Jamaican beach with a diving knife strapped to her thigh.

Thiis work is a reflection on the women’s fight for and achievement of equality, world-wide.
