Corn Dust
“Corn Dust was a snap I caught on my way home from the airport returning from New Mexico to New York after visiting with my brother’s family.
“The forms (the sewer cover, the ray of light, the crossing seams between paving stones) just happen to resemble some of the forms from a Kasimir Malevich ‘Suprematist’ painting I was asked to help sell at one point. Maybe you can see what I mean. So I polished it off and made it into a desktop or shelf-slotted piece, under a thick slab of lucite. More East-meeting-West.”
